Hello.

My name is Marian Uong. I’m an industrial designer from Houston, Texas who is a lover of foods, jokester, and an avid DIY-er who enjoys sewing and crafting. My current adventure is ice cream making!

Growing up as the youngest of three, I always found myself tinkering away with my hand-me downs and used toys. I had a wild imagination and dreamt of becoming this great, crazy inventor . Through the years, my creative, explorative spirit grew, and I eventually discovered my passion for design. It was and still is an outlet for me to think differently, have curiosity, and sometimes just be spontaneous.

My intersection of expertise is between design and simplicity, with a strong interest for kitchenware, soft goods, and housewares. I feel opportunities can be always found to make impactful changes in those areas because of the constant everyday interaction involved. I have a passion for user experience and user centered design, and I obsess over research to develop the user-product connection to craft deeper stories.
